Hey! I'm Kiandra B.
Indie Author, Bookish Blogger, and Creator
I’ve always been a woman with something to say. I’m a mother, a veteran, an independent author, and a reader who has never needed fiction to be pretty, perfect, or comfortable. Give me the complicated characters. The questionable decisions. The relationships I would absolutely never entertain in real life. Give me the secrets, the betrayal, the plot twists, and enough drama to have me arguing with people who don't even exist. 😂 Because for me, reading has never been about pretending the messy parts of life don't exist. It's about experiencing all of it from the safety of the page—and then having somebody to talk about it with when I'm done.

That’s a big part of why I created Books & Boujee. I didn't want another space where reading felt like homework, where every book needed a rating, or where somebody had to tell me what I should think about a character. I wanted the kind of room I would actually want to walk into—a place where readers could bring their opinions, laugh, disagree, defend the villain if they felt like it, question the main character's entire decision-making process, and still enjoy each other when the conversation was over. Around here, you don't have to agree with me. Actually, sometimes I hope you don't. The book gives us something to talk about. What we each see in it is where things get interesting.
And then there’s the writer in me. As Kiandra B., I write the same kind of stories I love talking about: domestic thrillers, psychological suspense, dark romance, and fiction where people are rarely just good or bad. I'm fascinated by what people hide, what pushes them too far, the choices they make when nobody is looking, and that uncomfortable moment when you realize you understand a character you probably shouldn't. My stories may give you the drama, but somewhere underneath all that mess, I want them to leave you thinking too.
So whether you found me because of one of my books, a YouTube conversation, or you simply love fictional mess as much as I do—welcome. You don't have to perform here. You don't have to defend what you like to read. Pull up a seat, bring your opinion, and prepare to get crazy with the group chat that always has the bookish friends split. 😂 Because I've learned something over the years: I can love all the drama I want—as long as it stays between the pages.

Read the drama. Not live in it.
